About the Role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our team delivering works within the Social Housing sector. The role will involve working across tenanted properties throughout the North West, carrying out a wide range of maintenance and installation works. This position is suited to a skilled operative who is confident completing multiple trades, including kitchen and bathroom installations, joinery, plumbing, plastering, and general property repairs. Experience in vinyl flooring would be beneficial but is not essential. The successful candidate will be working within occupied properties, so a professional approach, strong communication skills, and excellent customer service are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out full kitchen and bathroom installations
- Completing joinery works including repairs and installations
- Undertaking general plumbing tasks and minor pipework repairs
- Performing plastering and patch repairs where required
- Installing vinyl flooring where necessary (desirable but not essential)
- Working safely and efficiently within occupied social housing properties
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance regulations
- Providing a professional and respectful service while working in residents' homes
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Multiskilled Operative or similar role
- Strong skills across multiple trades including joinery, plumbing, plastering, and kitchen/bathroom fitting
- Experience working within the Social Housing sector
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Experience with vinyl flooring installation is desirable but not essential.
