Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to join their growing infrastructure team, supporting a major power and energy programme for one of their key clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead commercial role on high-profile projects, working in a complex and fast-paced infrastructure environment.
The Role
As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of commercial management across major power and energy infrastructure projects. You will provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team while working closely with project stakeholders, supply chain partners, and senior management to ensure strong commercial performance across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading commercial management activities across major power and energy projects
- Overseeing NEC contract administration and ensuring contractual compliance
- Driving cost control, forecasting, reporting, and change management processes
- Leading procurement strategy and subcontract management activities
- Managing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and our clients
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with commercial objectives and governance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior/Lead Quantity Surveyor within the power, utilities, or energy sector
- Strong NEC contract experience is essential
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent commercial, contractual, and analytical capability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex project environment
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Location
Hybrid working 2 - 3 days per week on site in Tilbury
