With a strong pipeline of secured work and ambitious growth plans, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career across a varied portfolio of projects, including education, public sector, commercial and refurbishment schemes. Initially, you will be supporting the commercial delivery of a major project in Wolverhampton, while also gaining exposure to a diverse range of work across the business. Role & Responsibilities
- Assisting with the commercial management of construction projects from inception through to final account.
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Preparing and managing subcontract packages.
- Valuations, variations and cost reporting.
- Assisting with monthly CVRs and project forecasting.
- Managing subcontractor payments and final accounts.
- Supporting the commercial team with contractual administration.
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
Key Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Previous experience within a contractor environment (placement year or post-graduate experience considered).
- Good commercial awareness and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
