Buildforce Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager on behalf of a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major industrial and logistics development in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale projects across the UK and a healthy pipeline of secured work throughout the local region.
The Project
You will play a key role in the delivery of a flagship industrial and logistics scheme valued in excess of £50 million. The development will consist of a large steel frame warehouse facility, associated office accommodation, external works, and infrastructure packages. With approximately two years of secured work on this project alone, this role offers both stability and the opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme from construction through to completion.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager and Project Director, you will be responsible for managing key elements of the build programme, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing subcontractors and site teams
- Coordinating daily site operations
- Driving programme and production targets
- Ensuring health and safety compliance across site
- Leading site meetings and progress reviews
- Managing quality assurance procedures
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and the wider project team
- Supporting the successful delivery of a complex industrial development
Requirements
To be considered, candidates should possess:
- Previous experience as a Senior Site Manager on large commercial, industrial, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution projects
- Experience delivering steel frame construction projects
- Proven track record working for a main contractor
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages simultaneously
