We are working with a highly successful, well-established construction business to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor into their expanding commercial team. Operating across a strong portfolio of industrial, commercial, and data centre projects, the business continues to grow through reputation rather than reliance on one-off tenders. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. You'll operate in an environment that values autonomy and trusts its people—giving you the freedom to manage your projects effectively without unnecessary red tape. You'll work closely with operational teams and clients, playing a key role in ensuring commercial success while maintaining the high standards the business is known for.
Key Responsibilities- Full commercial management of projects from inception to completion
- Cost planning, forecasting, and budget control
- Procurement and management of subcontractors
- Contract administration and risk management
- Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Industrial project experience preferred but not essential
- Salary up to £85,000 depending on experience
