Freelance Site Engineer – Large Commercial Build 📍 Location: Bristol 🕒 Start Date: After Easter 📆 Duration: 12 Months Minimum 💷 Rate: £300–£400 per day (DOE) 🏢 Project: Multi-million-pound student accommodation refurbishment + steel frame extension We’re working with a leading main contractor to appoint a Freelance Site Engineer for a long-term role on a major commercial build in Bristol. This is a 12-month+ contract on a high-profile student accommodation refurbishment, which includes a significant steel frame extension and complex structural packages. 🔧 Key Responsibilities: * Setting out for structural works including steel frame installation * QA and as-built records * Working closely with PMs, subcontractors & design teams * Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained * Coordinating with the site team for timely and accurate delivery * Supporting project delivery with technical input and problem solving ✅ Requirements: * Strong site engineering background in commercial build or refurbishment * Experience with steel frame / rc structures essential * CSCS card * Own equipment (total station/GPS preferable but not essential) * Based within commuting distance of Bristol 📩 Ready to jump onto a dynamic project with longevity and strong site support?
