Buildforce Solutions are working with a well-established Industrial & Logistics contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager for the delivery of a £22m new build industrial development in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality industrial and commercial projects, with the flexibility of either a permanent or freelance appointment.
The Project:
- £22m new build industrial/logistics facility
- Steel frame construction
- Full external works and infrastructure
- Long-term project commencing September 2026
The Role:
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from start through to completion, ensuring programme, quality, health & safety and commercial objectives are achieved. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of the project
- Leading the site management and engineering teams
- Coordinating subcontractors and the supply chain
- Driving programme and ensuring key milestones are met
- Chairing client and subcontractor meetings
- Managing health & safety and quality standards
- Working closely with the commercial and design teams
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project
Requirements:
- Previous experience delivering industrial, logistics or large commercial projects
- Proven track record as a Project Manager with a main contractor
- Experience managing steel frame construction projects
- Strong leadership, planning and communication skills
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
Salary / Rate:
Permanent:
- Up to £85,000 basic salary
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Company bonus
Freelance:
- Up to £400 per day
- Long-term contract
- Potential for extension onto future projects
