We are looking for an experienced Setting Out Site Engineer to join a groundworks contractor on a new build retail park project in St Neots. The position is due to start 1st September 2026 and is expected to run for approximately 40 weeks, offering a good long-term opportunity for the right engineer.
The Role:
- Setting out for earthworks and groundworks packages
- Levels, drainage, foundations, roads, kerbs and associated external works
- Carrying out surveys and maintaining accurate site records
- Working closely with the site management and groundworks teams
- Ensuring works are completed accurately and in line with drawings/specifications
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site / Setting Out Engineer
- Strong earthworks and groundworks experience
- Competent using relevant setting out equipment, including Total Station and GPS
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Own equipment would be advantageous but is not essential
- Relevant engineering qualifications
- CSCS required
