Quantity Surveyor - Facades

My client, a leading Facade Contractor is looking for a permanent Quantity Surveyor.\\n\\nLocation: Based out of Derby office – site visits across the Midlands. Must have subcontractor experience\\n\\nMain Objectives:\\n\\n * Conducting application process with payments received on time, achieving a good level of value recovery, from the Main Contractor.\\n\\n * Booking in price work operatives and gangs on a weekly or fortnightly basis on site, ensuring timely and accurate valuation.\\n\\n * Where required ensure projects priced in a timely manner and drive to agreement with client.\\n\\n * Financial control of assigned Sub-Contracts, maximising profitability but maintaining client and supply chain relationships.\\n\\n * Appropriate administration of the Sub-Contract clauses to protect the business and maximise returns, and protect from contra-charges.\\n\\n * Ensure accurate and timely reporting via monthly cost value comparison.\\n\\n * Identify and eliminate risk assigned projects.\\n\\n * Support wider group and be willing to be flexible working in a dynamic business.\\n\\nBehavioural Objectives\\n\\n * Meeting deadlines without the need for prompting\\n\\n * Provision of real time reporting\\n\\n * Assess performance and strive for continuous improvement\\n\\n * Ensure full compliance with procedures\\n\\n * Promote and implement group and business unit initiatives\\n\\n * Support, coach and development members of the team\\n\\nKey Performance Indicators\\n\\n * Accuracy of projections & reporting\\n\\n * Improving project profitability\\n\\n * Accuracy of measurement\\n\\n * Maximise WIP and ensure cash collection on time\\n\\n * Maximising overvalue\\n\\n * Aim to minimise non recoverable costs where possible.\\n\\nIT skills\\n\\n * Microsoft Excel (Good)\\n\\n * Microsoft Word (Basic)\\n\\n * Microsoft Outlook (Basic)\\n\\n * Bluebeam Measurement (Basic)\\n\\nPlease apply below and get in touch with Heather Duncan for more information
