Assistant Design Manager – Nottingham £32,000 – £43,000 + package | Permanent We’re working with a Tier 1 main contractor who are looking to bring an ambitious Assistant Design Manager into their Nottingham office. The business delivers a range of projects across the region, including commercial, Department for Education and care projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who is early in their Design Management career and wants to work within a strong team, gain exposure to different projects and develop into a fully-fledged Design Manager. They’re also happy to consider candidates coming from an architectural or engineering background who are looking to make the move into main contracting and Design Management. The role * Supporting the Design Manager through pre-construction and delivery * Coordinating design information and managing design programmes * Working with consultants, subcontractors and project teams * Reviewing drawings and technical information * Helping to manage design changes, RFIs and technical queries * Supporting the team with design coordination and delivery * Working closely with the wider construction team to ensure designs are delivered effectively About you We’re looking for someone who is bright, ambitious and keen to learn. You might already be working as an Assistant Design Manager, Design Coordinator or Architectural Assistant, or have a relevant architectural/construction background and be looking to take the next step. The key thing is having the right attitude, being organised, technically minded and wanting to develop your career within a Tier 1 contractor.
