Freelance Design Manager | Northampton | Outside IR35
We’re working with a Midlands-based shed contractor who are looking for an experienced Freelance Design Manager on an ongoing basis.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the design process and help put the right systems and processes in place as the business grows.
The role
- Northampton based
- Ongoing freelance requirement
- Projects up to £20m
- Industrial / commercial shed projects
- Set up and improve design management processes
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and design teams
- Manage design programmes, deliverables and approvals
- Work across pre-construction and construction
- Identify and resolve design issues before they impact programme or cost
- Outside IR35
We’re looking for
- Strong main contractor Design Management experience
- Industrial, warehouse or shed experience
- Someone confident setting up and improving processes
- Strong technical and commercial understanding
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Available at short notice
