We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance M&E Manager to join a large industrial and logistics project in Northampton, working through to the end of March. This is a site-based role overseeing the mechanical and electrical packages, managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to specification.
The Role
As Freelance M&E Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of all M&E activities on site, acting as the key interface between subcontractors, the site team, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate mechanical & electrical subcontractors
- Manage installation of sprinkler systems, data, power, lighting and associated services
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, drawings and specifications
- Monitor quality and ensure compliance with regulations and project standards
- Drive a strong health & safety culture on site
- Attend and contribute to site meetings and coordination reviews
- Identify and resolve technical or coordination issues efficiently
- Report progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager
Requirements
- Proven experience as an M&E Manager on industrial or logistics projects
- Strong mechanical or electrical background (essential)
- Experience managing sprinkler, data and services packages
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid β essential
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Able to work independently and hit the ground running
