- Senior Site Engineer / Site Engineer – Freelance
- Location: Grimsby Area Duration: 5 Months Rate: Competitive Day Rate (TBC) Start: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer or Site Engineer to join a major construction project in the Grimsby area on a freelance basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a large-scale development with extensive civil engineering and groundworks packages.
The successful candidate will be joining an established site team on a fast-paced project with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and overseeing all civil engineering and groundworks activities.
- Managing earthworks including cut and fill operations.
- Overseeing drainage installation and ensuring works are completed to specification.
- Monitoring and coordinating material testing, compaction testing and quality assurance.
- Setting out and supervising construction of external works, including large yard slabs and hardstanding areas.
- Producing QA documentation, as-built records and site reports.
- Liaising with subcontractors, the site management team and the client to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Assisting with daily planning and resolving technical issues on site.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Site Engineer or Site Engineer on large civil engineering or groundworks projects.
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, cut and fill operations, drainage and external works.
- Experience managing material testing, QA processes and engineering records.
- Competent in setting out using Leica or Trimble equipment.
- CSCS Card essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
