Our client, a reputable and growing façade contractor, is looking for an experienced freelance externals site manager to oversee the delivery of the external envelope package on a key project in Manchester. The successful candidate will have strong experience in External Wall Insulation systems and full building envelope coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all site-based activities relating to the external works and façade installation
- Oversee subcontractors delivering EWI, cladding, SFS, insulation, waterproofing, and other envelope elements
- Ensure health & safety standards are met and maintained on site
- Monitor progress against the programme and report to the project team
- Conduct quality checks and ensure work is delivered to spec and within timeframes
- Act as the main point of contact for site coordination, technical issues, and contractor queries
Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience delivering EWI systems and managing full building envelope packages
- Proven background with façade or externals subcontractors
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid as a minimum
- Strong leadership and site coordination skills
- Able to interpret drawings, RAMS, and construction specifications
- Manchester-based or willing to travel daily
