An established interiors specialist focused on drylining, carpentry, and internal fit-out and refurbishment works is looking to appoint an Estimator / QS with a strong background in drylining, carpentry, and internal packages to join a close-knit, family-run team based in Birmingham. The business delivers projects for some of the UK's leading Tier 1 Contractors and has worked on some of the Midlands' most prestigious projects, reflecting its reputation for quality and reliability. Responsibilities:- Preparing and pricing tenders for drylining and carpentry packages
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and schedules to produce accurate cost plans
- Managing subcontractor enquiries, comparisons, and procurement input
- Supporting bid strategy and commercial decision-making at tender stage
- Working closely with the QS and Assistant QS to ensure smooth handovers from tender to delivery
- Assisting with commercial reporting and workload planning
- Proven experience in drylining and/or carpentry interiors
- Background in estimating, commercial management, or a similar role
- Comfortable working in a small team with direct access to decision-makers
- Strong understanding of internal packages and construction methods
- Ability to work at pace and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Practical, no-nonsense attitude with good commercial awareness
