Our client is a well-established Tier 2 regional contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the Midlands. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Design Manager to join their Warwickshire-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2+ years’ experience in a design coordination or technical role who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing contractor environment.

The business delivers a broad range of projects across sectors including commercial, education, industrial, healthcare and mixed-use developments, with project values typically ranging up to £6 million.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Design Managers and operational teams, you will assist in coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to project completion. Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the management and coordination of design information
- Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and client teams
- Reviewing drawings and technical submissions
- Supporting the design programme to ensure key deadlines are achieved
- Attending design and project meetings
- Helping to identify and resolve design and buildability issues
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations and project specifications
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience within construction, ideally in a design coordination or technical role
- Background working for a contractor, consultancy or architectural practice considered
- Relevant construction qualification preferred (Construction Management, Architecture, Architectural Technology or similar)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a Design Management career path
