An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join one of the fastest-growing Tier 2 contractors specialising in care homes, extra care and retirement villages. This business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, complex care environments and operates with a profit-over-turnover approach, genuinely prioritising staff wellbeing, quality delivery, and long-term client relationships.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple live projects across Mitcham, Weybridge and surrounding areas, with individual project values of up to £30m. You will play a key role in client liaison, programme management, and supporting site teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This role would suit someone who has either operated at Contracts Manager level previously or a strong Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager who has managed multiple projects simultaneously and is ready to step up.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Oversee programming and delivery across multiple live sites
- Mentor, support and develop Project Managers, Site Managers and wider site teams
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual, commercial and quality expectations
- Promote best practice in health & safety, quality assurance and compliance
- Work closely with commercial and pre-construction teams to manage risk and opportunity
- Maintain strong client relationships, encouraging repeat business
About You
- Proven experience delivering care homes, extra care or retirement village projects
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Construction Manager, or managing multiple projects concurrently
- Strong client-facing skills with experience working with end users such as Care UK (or similar)
- Excellent understanding of programming, sequencing and live site coordination
- A natural mentor with the ability to lead, influence and support teams
- Commercially aware and solutions-focused
Package
- Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
