Are you a driven sales professional with experience in building relationships with Housebuilders, Developers and Architects through project tracking and strategic business development? If so, we are working with a well-established supplier of heavyside building products who are looking to appoint a Sales and Project Manager to help them capitalise on opportunities across the South of England.

The Role

You will be responsible for the sales of our Client’s products across a defined territory. The Sales & Project Manager will develop and manage a comprehensive project pipeline to ensure territory sales targets are achieved and exceeded. The role requires proactively raising the company’s profile among key stakeholders within the region. This includes engaging directly with architectural practices to influence product specification, while building new and strengthening existing, mutually beneficial trading relationships with building contractors and developers.

Specific duties would include:

  • Sales of all company product ranges to meet agreed budgets through the successful specification that lead to completed orders.
  • Project Tracking: Desktop research and extensive outbound telephone call levels inline with company guidelines (minimum 3 days a week, office based, time commitment on this source of pipeline development).
  • Successfully progress planning leads provided by the company for future target projects from architectural stage(s) through to contractor stage and subsequent successful order won.
  • 100% ownership of own project pipeline.
  • Identification and follow-up of new sales opportunities through new contractors, developers, sub contractors and clients.
  • 2 days per week minimum field based activity in face to face (and where appropriate video conference) meetings in both office environments and construction site settings to secure commitment, develop relationships, promote and secure order and periodically CRM / Project tracking database management with detailed project notes.
  • Management of current orders to ensure they run effectively, timely and to the benefit of the business – Correct management of site schedules, ensure call offs and additional product orders placed.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven track record in selling heavyside building products.
  • Experience managing a defined sales territory and achieving revenue targets.
  • Demonstrable success in developing and managing a strong project pipeline through project tracking.
  • Experience influencing product specification with architectural practices.
  • Established relationships with building contractors and developers.
  • Background in the construction or building materials sector.
  • CRM and pipeline management capability.
  • Full, clean drivers license.

Territory: South Central UK- Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, East & West Sussex

Salary: Negotiable (D.O.E) + Excellent Rewards Package - 25 Days Holiday, Company Car, Laptop, Mobile Phone
