The Role: This role requires a professional sales manner and the ability to maintain and grow an existing customer base as well as identifying and generating new business opportunities across the South West and South Wales regions. Some of the duties involve: Managing existing customer accounts as well as validating sales leads throughout your area. Opening new accounts and growing existing accounts, targeting primarily contractors, specialist sub-contractors and house builders. Introducing key initiative products. Delivering excellent customer service and communication. The Candidate: In order to be successful in this role, you will need to enjoy working within a fast-paced sales environment where professionalism and high levels of customer service are key to success. As you will be taking an active role as a member of the sales team, you will need to have a flair for sales and enjoy working to targets and meeting sales goals. Experience in the construction industry, either in merchanting or distribution, is advantageous along with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Other skills required include: Knowledge and experience of the merchanting or construction products distribution sector. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Enthusiastic and professional manner. Able to work using your own initiative within a demanding, target-driven environment.
