The Role

This is a business development role focused on generating new opportunities and developing long-term relationships within the construction and property sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with brokers, developers, architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, planning consultants and other professional introducers. Supported by our customer service, operations and technical teams, you will focus on business development activity, relationship management and revenue generation, whilst our experienced team manages the administration and operational delivery of each case.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors and other industry professionals.
  • Develop and manage introducer and referral partner relationships.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with prospective clients and business partners.
  • Represent Build Warranty at industry events, networking opportunities and exhibitions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities using the company CRM system.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high standard of service is delivered to clients and introducers.
  • Contribute to the achievement of company growth objectives.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to business development. Applicants should be:

  • Commercially minded and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable building professional relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Well organised with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional in their approach and presentation.
  • Experience in business development, sales, account management or relationship management is essential.
  • Experience within construction, property, insurance, surveying or related sectors would be advantageous, although not essential.
