Overview
As Construction Manager, you will lead on-site delivery of commercial office fit-out projects in London. You’ll oversee site teams, subcontractors and trades to meet programme, quality and safety targets. You will work closely with the Project Manager and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure handover to standard. This role offers hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment with a clear impact on project success and client satisfaction. Your expertise will shape the delivery of CAT A/B fit-outs across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day on-site construction and fit-out activities
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site teams
- Ensure works align with programme and construction sequence
- Monitor quality, progress, health & safety and site standards
- Coordinate with Project Manager and wider project team
- Manage site logistics, sequencing and short-term planning
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders
- Identify and resolve issues affecting programme, quality or delivery
- Ensure projects are handed over to the required standard
Key requirements
- Proven experience as Construction Manager / Site Manager / Senior Site Manager in commercial office fit-out
- Strong understanding of CAT A / CAT B fit-out
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- Strong programme and site delivery knowledge
- SMSTS and CSCS required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- London commercial fit-out experience highly desirable
