The Role

We are seeking an experienced Services Site Manager with a strong mechanical or electrical background to oversee the M&E delivery of a major commercial office fit-out project in Slough. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the building services installation on site, coordinating mechanical and electrical subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards. This role would suit a Mechanical or Electrical Site Manager with proven experience working on commercial office fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of mechanical and electrical works on site.
  • Manage M&E subcontractors and specialist contractors.
  • Coordinate building services installations with the wider fit-out programme.
  • Ensure M&E works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
  • Review progress and identify potential programme or coordination issues.
  • Attend and contribute to site and coordination meetings.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager.
  • Coordinate services installations with architectural and fit-out trades.
  • Monitor quality and ensure installations meet project requirements.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning and completion activities.
  • Support snagging and final handover.
  • Ensure all relevant permits, inspections and site documentation are maintained.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Services Site Manager, M&E Site Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or Electrical Site Manager.
  • Strong commercial office fit-out experience.
  • Mechanical or electrical background essential.
  • Experience managing M&E subcontractors on fast-paced construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of M&E coordination and sequencing.
  • Experience with testing and commissioning.
  • SMSTS essential.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Strong health & safety knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with the wider construction and fit-out team.
