Rate: £275 – £300 per day

The Project

New-build multi-storey commercial development comprising structural steelwork, external envelope, internal fit-out, services installation and associated external works. The project is currently progressing through key construction phases and requires an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee labour and daily site activities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all site labour on a day-to-day basis.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of labourers to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure the site remains clean, organised and presentable at all times.
  • Monitor workforce productivity and allocate tasks accordingly.
  • Carry out daily site inspections and report progress to site management.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries and material movements.
  • Assist with site inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Identify and resolve issues on site to maintain programme targets.
  • Ensure subcontractors and labour teams comply with site rules and procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Previous experience supervising labour on busy construction sites.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain site standards and drive productivity.
  • Good understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
