We are currently seeking an experienced SC Cleared Site Manager for a 4–6 week contract based on an MOD site in Berkshire, working on a construction project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the required quality and programme standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily site operations.
- Supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel.
- Oversee construction activities and ensure works are delivered to specification.
- Oversee temporary works installation and ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved designs and procedures.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
- Monitor progress and report any issues or delays.
- Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, materials, and plant.
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, health & safety procedures, and site requirements.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections.
- Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager.
- Valid SC Clearance is essential.
- Previous experience working on MOD sites is highly advantageous.
- Construction experience is essential.
- Experience overseeing temporary works is desirable.
- Strong health & safety knowledge.
- Excellent subcontractor and workforce management skills.
- CSCS and SMSTS required.
- First Aid advantageous.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
