Our client is a UK office design and build company delivering sustainable, tenant-ready workspaces for corporate occupiers, landlords and flex-space operators across London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and the South West.

Working across CAT A, CAT A+ and CAT B fit-out, bespoke headquarters and prime landlord schemes, the business is built on an eight-stage design-and-build process that keeps its designers and delivery teams involved from brief through to post-occupancy client care.

The business is B Corp certified, holds BCO Gold, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, Constructionline Gold and CHAS Premium Plus accreditations, and is known in the market for a people-first, partnership-led approach.

This is a genuine opportunity to join a design-led, quality-driven contractor with a strong pipeline of workplace projects for corporate, landlord and flex-space clients.

The Role/The Project We are looking for a Site-Based Project Manager to take full day-to-day responsibility for the safe, on-programme and on-budget delivery of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically ranging from CAT A shell-and-core through to fully fitted CAT B workspaces.

You'll be the client's and design team's main point of contact on site, translating the design intent into a high-quality, snag-free build and upholding the standards that underpin the client's reputation in the fit out space.

Our client has won a high profile fit out in Mayfair for a financial client, the project is valued around £2.5m and will be on site for circa 6 months.

The scheme is spread across 4 floors and the client will remain in situ so experienced in phased works is imperative.

Key Responsibilities Take ownership of site delivery from mobilisation through to practical completion and handover, managing programme, cost, quality, safety and client expectations throughout.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors and the wider site team, chairing progress, design and subcontractor meetings and holding trades to programme and quality standards.

Ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations, acting as (or working closely with) the Principal Contractor's competent person on site, and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Produce and maintain detailed construction programmes, sequencing works across CAT A, CAT A+ and CAT B packages, and proactively manage risks to time, cost and quality.

Liaise directly with clients, landlords, design teams and consultants, providing clear, confident progress reporting and managing change through the design-and-build process Drive quality control and snagging throughout the build, ensuring a defect-free handover and supporting the company post-occupancy Client Care approach.

Champion Interaction's sustainability commitments on site, supporting the specification and delivery of sustainable materials, waste management and site practices.

Maintain accurate site records, RAMS, permits and health & safety documentation, and carry out regular site inspections and toolbox talks.

What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Site/Project Manager delivering commercial office fit-out and/or interior design-and-build projects, ideally with a main contractor, fit-out specialist or CAT A/B contractor.

Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and a demonstrable track record of safe site delivery.

Confident, personable communicator, comfortable acting as the key point of contact for clients, landlords and design teams on live sites.

Strong forward planning skills, keeping the client informed of the works every step of the way.

Commercially aware, with experience managing subcontractor packages, programme and budget alongside a QS/commercial team.

SMSTS , CSCS (Black/Gold card) essential; First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and Fire Marshall.

A relevant construction or project management qualification (HNC/HND, degree or equivalent site-based experience).

A genuine interest in sustainable construction and workplace design, in keeping with the client's B Corp values.

What's on Offer Long term in contract across the winter months.

The opportunity to work for a B Corp certified, BCO Gold-winning design-and-build specialist with a strong forward order book.

Genuine involvement across the full project lifecycle, working alongside designers and delivery teams rather than a purely transactional handover.

The prospect of adding a high profile and challenging project to your CV for future contracts.

How to Apply If you are a Site based Project Manager with an established pedigree in delivering complex phased commercial fit outs with the client in situ then this could be the next contract for you.
