We are working with a major destination retail and mixed-use asset seeking an experienced Retail Project Manager to join their centre management team in West London. This role sits within the Retail Delivery function and is responsible for managing the coordination, communication, compliance and delivery of retail units from agreement stage through to tenant fit-out and store opening.

The successful candidate will act as the key interface between tenants, consultants, leasing, construction, development and centre management teams to ensure units are delivered on programme, compliant and ready for trade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage retail delivery projects from pre-handover through to tenant opening
  • Produce and maintain detailed project delivery programmes
  • Ensure all key retail delivery milestones are achieved and documented
  • Coordinate communication between leasing, development, construction and operational teams
  • Manage tenant and consultant relationships throughout the fit-out process
  • Oversee change control procedures and monitor associated cost requests
  • Ensure Agreement for Lease obligations are fully captured and delivered
  • Work closely with design teams to ensure tenant designs align with programme and landlord requirements
  • Manage tenant access and unit handover procedures
  • Ensure all snagging and close-out items are completed efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with CDM, Health & Safety and landlord fit-out requirements
  • Monitor tenant contractor compliance with site rules and landlord constraints
  • Ensure statutory approvals and consent-to-trade obligations are achieved
  • Oversee commissioning and fit-out compliance processes
  • Support energy performance and sustainability compliance
  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering retail, shopping centre or commercial fit-out projects
  • Strong understanding of landlord/tenant delivery processes
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Agreements for Lease and tenant coordination
  • Strong project programming and reporting capabilities
  • Understanding of CDM regulations and construction compliance
  • Experience within live operational environments preferred
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage fast-paced delivery programmes with multiple concurrent projects
