This Central London–based main contractor specialises in delivering complex, high-quality projects across residential, commercial, and specialist sectors. The business focuses on schemes typically ranging from £100k–£5m, including heritage refurbishments, prime residential works, CAT A & B commercial fit-outs, and specialist technical installations. They are known for technical precision, strong delivery standards, and long-term relationships with high-profile property owners, estates, and asset managers.
An opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate or Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial delivery of projects from instruction through to final account. This role offers exposure to a diverse project portfolio and the chance to play a visible role within a collaborative, specialist contractor environment. You will work closely with project teams to ensure strong financial control, commercial performance, and smooth project close-out.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Management
- Administer contracts and project documentation, primarily under the JCT suite
- Produce cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Prepare interim valuations, manage variations, and monitor change control
- Procurement & Financial Administration
- Manage subcontractor procurement, packages, and payment processes
- Track project expenditure, reconcile costs, and produce commercial reports
- Finalise accounts, warranties, guarantees, and completion documentation
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to maintain commercial alignment
- Team Contribution
- Provide commercial guidance and support to site teams and senior leadership
- Contribute to improving commercial processes and project performance
- Experience & Qualifications
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline
- Experience administering JCT contracts
- Background in refurbishment, fit-out, or high-end residential projects preferred
- CSCS card and up-to-date Health & Safety awareness
- RICS or CIOB membership desirable (support available if not yet achieved)

- Strong commercial awareness with confident communication skills
- Organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Project
- £60k - £65k PA dependent on experience
