Senior Site Manager – Freelance Contract Darlington 8-Month Contract (Running until February 2027) Day Rate: £325 - £350 Project Value: £10 Million Build Space is recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager / Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major modular construction project in Darlington. The project consists of 129 modular units with a total value of £10 million. We are looking for a strong Project Manager with proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects, ideally with a background in modular construction, groundworks, and earthworks. Key Responsibilities Overall responsibility for project delivery from groundworks through to completion Manage programme, budget, quality, and health & safety Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders Drive project performance and ensure programme milestones are achieved Lead site teams and maintain high standards throughout the build processRequirements Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager on projects valued at £10m+ Strong background in groundworks and earthworks Excellent programme management skills SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates Modular construction experience advantageous but not essentialWhat’s on Offer?
