The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Our client is a major player in building large scale construction projects in retail, commercial and residential spaces. Once built, to keep up with the modern standards they are always looking to refurbish their asset portfolio so consistently have a number of special projects on site. As a result, the company needs to appoint a hybrid role of Commercial Project Manager to deliver end-to-end management of landlord works, asset enhancements, and development projects across the asset register. Projects range from £5k to £3.5M and cover all phases from feasibility to aftercare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feasibility & Pre-Construction:
- Review asset management briefs and prepare budget cost plans
- Appoint and manage design consultants
- Run full tender processes via A-Site: prepare enquiries, analyse returns, and submit firm costs
- Support planning applications and obtain necessary internal approvals
- Place contracts and oversee site progress
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards
- Administer contracts, including variations, valuations, and final accounts
- Manage project budgets and contribute to quarterly cost reports
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across Development, Leasing, and Centre Management
Requirements:
- Experience as a Project or Commercial Manager in construction; retail experience is a plus
- Equally as comfortable taking financial ownership of the projects and being out on site making sure project delivery is on track.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and H&S compliance (SMSTS/NEBOSH, CSCS Black Card)
- Familiarity with MEPH systems is advantageous
- Proficient in cost management tools, MS Office, Teams, Adobe, and PowerPoint
- Excellent initiative, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant degree or HND/HNC qualification
