The Role
A well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major industrial/logistics development. The project is an 85,000 sq ft new-build industrial unit valued at £7m, and the business is looking for a strong No.1 who can take full ownership of delivery from site setup through to completion and handover. This role would suit someone confident running industrial/logistics schemes and comfortable taking full responsibility for programme, team, client, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as No.1 on site for a £7m industrial/logistics build
- Managing programme, delivery strategy, and sequencing
- Leading site team, subcontractors, and consultants
- Driving health & safety, quality, and build standards
- Managing client interface and reporting
- Working closely with commercial team on risk and cost control
- Ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to spec
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering industrial/logistics projects as No.1
- Main contractor background essential
- Experience on schemes £5m+ preferred
- Strong programme management and sequencing capability
- Confident client-facing leader with delivery focus
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid (or equivalent)
