Quantity Surveyor in Basingstoke

Quantity Surveyor Salary: £60,000–£70,000 Package (DOE) Project Value: £130m Major Scheme Location: Basingstoke Area We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major £130m construction project based in the Basingstoke region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven QS looking to step into a key project role with long-term progression. Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day commercial activities on a major live project • Subcontract procurement, packages, and negotiations • Cost planning, forecasting, and budget management • CVRs, valuations, variations, and payment applications • Work closely with the Commercial Lead and Project Leadership team • Ensure contractual compliance and support risk management • Build strong relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders Requirements: • Experience as a Project QS (or strong Assistant QS ready to step up) • Main contractor background preferred • Strong knowledge of JCT • Proven experience on large-scale construction projects • Ability to manage commercial responsibilities with autonomy • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills What’s on Offer: • £60–£70k package (DOE) • Exposure to a flagship £130m scheme • Long-term career development with a respected contractor • Supportive commercial team and structured progression If you\’re a motivated Quantity Surveyor looking for your next long-term major project, please apply with your CV
