Job Title – Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location – Maidenhead Type – Permanent Salary – £35,000/yr – £45,000/yr + package My client is an innovative Tier 1 Construction Main Contractor that creates high quality logistics, industrial and distribution facilities for some of the UK’s leading retail and logistics businesses, delivering on the highest standards. They have an exciting £22m Timber Frame Commercial Office Block project in place which they are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: Assist and report on and control all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts. Providing commercial expertise for projects to maximise returns by working within robust procedures to support the Project QS. Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engage with the supply chain. Produce and process formal subcontract documents, certifying the interim/final payments and final subcontract account. Monitor income and expenditure on contracts e.g., interim/final applications for payment / final accounts / payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant people Required Skills & Experience – List the Skills, Experience & qualifications required (Examples below) Minimum 3 years post qualified experience. Proven background as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS with Main Contractor project experience. Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar. Distribution Centre experience (Large Industrial Units) – desirable. Exceptional relationship building skills self-motivated and proactive commercial awareness and understanding of the construction process. Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft packages i.e word, excel, outlook and teams. Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and technologies
