I am recruiting on behalf of a key client—one of the UK’s leading main contractors, with a strong track record across both the Building and Infrastructure sectors.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Commercial Director to take the commercial lead on a major project in Berkshire, with a contract value of approximately £500 million. In addition, the business is currently pursuing several other significant projects, with values extending into the billions, creating excellent long-term opportunities within the division.
The project sits within a specialist area of construction, involving the delivery of highly complex works in a sophisticated and classified infrastructure environment. However, given the nature and scope of the scheme, I am particularly interested in speaking with Commercial Directors and senior commercial leaders from a main contracting Building background.

The Ideal Candidate
- An experienced Commercial Director or senior commercial leader from the Building sector of main contracting - open to Infrastructure though
- Currently operating at either business-unit level or as the commercial lead on a major project
- A proven track record of leading large commercial teams and complex, high-value projects
- Strong pre-construction experience, including commercial strategy, procurement, risk and opportunity management
- Experience working under JCT Design & Build and/or NEC forms of contract
- A commercially astute and credible leader, capable of operating effectively with clients, project teams and senior stakeholders
