The Company:

Build Recruitment provides specialist recruitment services, supplying quality candidates on a temporary or permanent basis to leading organisations throughout the built environment – from executive to operative level. With offices in London, Manchester, and the Southwest, we specialise in Housing, Construction, Facilities Management, Property, Surveying, Health & Safety and Sales.

The HR Assistant will be responsible for supporting the HR team with DBS checks and other general HR functions.

HR Assistant duties:

  • Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries, responding, re-assigning or escalating as appropriate, to ensure timely resolution.
  • Process HR transactions, ensuring policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining our core HR system, ensuring data quality and accuracy is always of a high standard.
  • Working alongside the HR team with primary oversight on DBS checks.

What is required for the HR Assistant role:

  • HR or recruitment administration experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task, responding at pace to a varied and flexible workload.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
