The Company:

With offices in London, Manchester, and the Southwest, we specialise in Housing, Construction, Facilities Management, Property, Surveying, Health & Safety and Sales. We supply candidates from executive to operative level, and are currently working with a social housing maintenance company, who are looking for a Surveyor based in and around Bristol.

The Surveyor will be responsible for supporting the manager in the delivery of a customer focused, high quality responsive repairs, empty property/void works and planned maintenance and improvement programmes. This role will require site visits across the South West.

Surveyor duties:

  • To carry out the project management of a range of specific asset management projects as directed by the manager, from inception to completion.
  • Be responsible and accountable for project delivery, control and reporting of expenditure against budgets for projects and to meet or exceed agreed targets.
  • Undertake inspections and surveys of properties to determine works required to deliver project outcomes.
  • Specify work, prepare cost estimates and cash flow forecasts and produce reports as required to support business case presentations and value for money assessments.
  • Carry out property condition surveys and update the asset management database in a timely manner.

What is required for the role:

  • Experience with HHSRS assessments.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the industry.
  • Educated to Level 4 (HNC in Surveying or Construction & Built Environment or equivalent) or higher.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Social Housing experience.
