Damp & Mould Technician – Response RepairsLocation: North West London Rate: £22.52 per hour CIS Contract: Temporary – 6–8 weeks' work Hours: Full-Time Sector: Social Housing Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Damp & Mould Operative to join a social housing maintenance team, carrying out damp and mould remedial works across North West London. This is a great opportunity for an experienced operative looking for immediate, ongoing work for approximately 6–8 weeks, working across occupied residential properties. The RoleAs a Damp & Mould Operative, you will be responsible for identifying, treating and remediating damp and mould issues within social housing properties. Key Responsibilities Carrying out inspections to identify causes of damp and mould, including condensation, penetrating damp and leaks. Undertaking damp and mould treatment works within occupied social housing properties. Cleaning and treating mould-affected areas. Applying mould washes, anti-mould treatments and stain-blocking paint systems. Carrying out damp-proofing and remedial works where required. Hacking off damaged plaster and preparing surfaces for remedial works. Carrying out making-good works, including patch plastering, painting and decorating. Installing ventilation solutions and carrying out minor remedial repairs. Working within occupied properties while minimising disruption to tenants. Providing clear advice to residents regarding damp, mould, condensation and prevention. Using PDA systems to update job information and record completed works. Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment. Completing all works in accordance with health & safety requirements and company standards.Requirements Previous experience in damp and mould treatment or property maintenance. Good understanding of the causes of damp, mould and condensation. Experience working within social housing or occupied residential properties. Ability to carry out associated multi-trade works, including plastering, painting and basic repairs. Strong customer service and communication skills.
