Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join our clients team working on void social housing properties in the Walton-on-Thames area. This role involves carrying out a wide range of carpentry and associated multi-trade works to bring vacant properties back to a lettable standard. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting productivity and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out carpentry works including door hanging, kitchen fitting, skirting, architraves, flooring, and repairs
- Undertake associated multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and decorating as required
- Complete refurbishment and repair works on void properties to agreed standards and timescales
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Accurately record completed works using job sheets or handheld devices
- Maintain the company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or a relevant trade (or equivalent qualification/experience)
- Proven experience working as a Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative, ideally within social housing or voids
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
