About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Estimator to join a growing team in Newquay. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career in the construction industry. Full training will be provided, so while experience is beneficial it is not essential. A key prerequisite is a good level of spreadsheet capability. The back‑office project management and quoting systems are spreadsheet‑based, so Excel, data entry and being great with numbers will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tenders
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
  • Supporting the senior estimating team with project cost analysis
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation

About You

  • Educated to A‑Level or degree level (preferred but not essential)
  • Some knowledge or understanding of construction is desirable
