Plumbing & Heating Fitter

Location: Truro, Cornwall
Job Type: Temporary, with potential for ongoing work

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Fitter to join our team on a temporary basis, supporting several ongoing construction projects.

The main project is a large, 96-suite keyworker accommodation development, which is now at the general second-fix stage across the majority of its bathrooms and shower rooms. There is plenty of work to get through, and we need someone who can hit the ground running and work efficiently.

You will also support additional projects as required, so flexibility to move between sites is essential.

This is initially a temporary position, with the potential for longer-term work for the right candidate as further projects come through.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general plumbing and heating fitting duties.
  • Completing second-fix plumbing across bathroom and shower suites.
  • Working efficiently across multiple construction projects.
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Managing your workload and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Working safely and coordinating with other trades on site.

About You

  • Experienced in plumbing and heating fitting.
  • Confident carrying out second-fix plumbing work.
  • Able to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Reliable, hardworking and organised.
  • Flexible and happy to travel between local sites.
  • Able to maintain high standards of work in a busy construction environment.

What’s on Offer?

  • Temporary work across established construction projects.
  • A good volume of work available.
  • Potential for ongoing employment for the right person.
  • The opportunity to work across a variety of projects.
