I am looking for a Housing Assistant to join a housing association in Totnes. This will be within the Extra Care team. This is a 12-month fixed-term part-time position (25 hours per week), working 5 hours daily, Monday to Friday. Exact working hours are to be agreed and will be between 9am and 5pm.
Key responsibilities of the Housing Assistant:
- Provide advice on repairs, tenancy management, and rent queries, referring to specialist teams where required
- Communicate effectively with residents and signpost local services
- Respond promptly to and resolve complaints in line with agreed standards
- Liaise with contractors to minimise disruption and keep residents informed
- Work with internal and external teams to address concerns and support safeguarding requirements
- Carry out routine health and safety checks, including fire safety inspections, ensuring compliance with legislation
