Our client, a RICS regulated Chartered Surveying practice based in Hampshire, is undertaking instructions relating to all aspects of Building Surveying and Design services with particular specialist knowledge in the commercial and high-end residential sectors. With a wealth of experience spanning a range of disciplines, including major works project management, party wall and neighbourly matters, Licence for Alterations, Dilapidations and technical due diligence, we act as a trusted advisor to both individuals and corporate entities.
Due to continued growth of the company, they have a vacancy in the Southampton office for an experienced Graduate Building Surveyor (close to qualifying) to work in a fun, but hardworking environment, to deliver a full suite of building surveying duties to our range of predominantly residential and commercial clients. This position would be an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor to develop their career within a forward-thinking, progressive and expanding company.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Senior Building Surveyors in the day-to-day running of the business
- Assisting with project commissions including:
- Contract administration duties
- Responsibility, under minimum supervision, for smaller projects and assistance on major projects with defined levels of responsibility
- Planned maintenance surveys
- Design and specification of maintenance works
- Condition surveys
- Defect investigation and diagnosis
- Licence for Alterations
- Party Wall matters
- Pre-Acquisition Surveys
- Project Management
- Employer’s Agent roles
- Reinstatement Cost Assessments (for Insurance Purposes)
