We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established team delivering planned electrical works across a large portfolio of residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrician with a background in social housing, domestic installations, planned maintenance or refurbishment to join a stable and growing organisation. The RoleAs a Planned Works Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical works across occupied and void residential properties, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Your work will include: Carrying out electrical installations, repairs, servicing and inspection & testing. Delivering planned electrical works within occupied and non-occupied properties. Working on kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes. Undertaking full property rewires and associated electrical works. Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible. Completing inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations. Working from drawings and specifications to establish project requirements. Ensuring all works comply with BS7671, health & safety legislation and company procedures. Liaising professionally with residents, customers and colleagues throughout works. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales. Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicle to the required standard. Supporting apprentices and trainees where required. Participating in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required.About YouThe successful candidate will be a fully qualified Electrician with strong practical experience in domestic electrical installations. You will ideally have: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised qualification. City & Guilds 2391, 2394 or 2395, or equivalent inspection and testing qualification. Strong working knowledge of the current BS7671 Wiring Regulations. Experience carrying out electrical installation, testing and commissioning. Previous experience within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or domestic properties. Experience with rewires, kitchens and bathrooms would be highly advantageous. A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent practical training. A full UK driving licence. Good communication and customer service skills. The ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. A professional approach when working in customers' homes
