We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. You will play a key role in maintaining clean, safe, and attractive communal spaces across estates in Slough and the surrounding areas, delivering high quality grounds maintenance services in line with horticultural best practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, weed control and litter picking.
- Completing scheduled work as instructed by the Grounds Maintenance Team Leader.
- Using a PDA system to record visits and tasks completed.
- Working in line with Health & Safety procedures and participating in regular Toolbox Talks.
- Ensuring tools, equipment, and vehicles are kept clean and well maintained, reporting any defects.
- Supporting other trade teams when required to deliver excellent customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a grounds maintenance role, ideally within a housing or DLO environment.
- Knowledge of horticultural practices and experience using grounds maintenance machinery and hand tools.
- PA1/PA6a pesticide certification (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence with towing capability.
- Strong communication skills and a customer centred approach.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work safely and professionally.
