Are you an experienced Site Manager with a background in social housing refurbishment or retrofit schemes? This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected main contractor delivering high-quality, sustainable projects as part of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) initiative.

The Role

You’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of SHDF works across occupied social housing properties — ensuring quality, safety, and programme are maintained to the highest standards. This includes managing trades, subcontractors, and liaising closely with residents, clients, and project teams to deliver energy-efficiency upgrades efficiently and with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee site operations on SHDF / retrofit projects (EWI, insulation, windows, roofing, heating systems etc.)
  • Ensure health & safety compliance and quality assurance across all works
  • Manage subcontractors, materials, and logistics to meet programme targets
  • Maintain clear communication with residents and client representatives
  • Report progress and resolve issues promptly to keep the project on track

About You

  • Proven experience managing social housing refurbishment or energy retrofit projects
  • Strong working knowledge of SHDF standards and PAS2035 compliance desirable
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications essential
  • Full UK driving licence
