We’re currently working with a well-established Housing Association, seeking an experienced Carpenter/multi-trader to carry out reactive repairs and maintenance within void and occupied social housing properties across the Bromley, Bexley and Kent areas.
The Thames repairs team are looking for 1 Carpenter Multi to join the in-house Maintenance Service on a temporary basis initially until March 2026. There is a possibility that this will go on longer or move to a fixed term/permanent contract, subject to budget and performance in the role.
They will be given a van and fuel card for business use. It is essential to have a manual driving license to carry out this role and you must have your own hand tools (Power tools are provided).
Multi trade/Carpenters are expected to carry out a range of tasks inclusive of:
- Internal and external door fitting
- Splice repairs
- General locksmith work
- Bathroom sub floors
- Bath panels and framework kitchen repairs/refits
- Other general maintenance repairs
Ideally, you will also be able to carry out internal/external window repairs including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits and repairs.
Our in-house maintenance team core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is the opportunity to earn more from call outs and out of hours service.
To be considered for this role, candidates will require/be:
- Sound working trade qualification, knowledge and experience
- Experience gained within a maintenance environment
- Able to deliver excellent customer service
- Right first-time approach
- Health and safety conscious
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Dual trade skills
- Multi-Trade with locksmith trade (highly desirable)
