We are currently working with a reputable main contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee commercial new build projects across the region.
The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial new build projects from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Managing commercial new build construction projects on site
- Overseeing subcontractors and direct labour teams
- Coordinating site activities to ensure programme deadlines are achieved
- Ensuring all works are carried out in line with H&S regulations and company procedures
- Conducting toolbox talks, site inductions and regular progress meetings
- Managing quality control and snagging processes
- Liaising with clients, consultants and senior management teams
- Monitoring project progress and reporting on performance
- Managing site documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring excellent standards of housekeeping and site presentation
Requirements (Skills & Qualifications)
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within the commercial new build sector
- SMSTS Certificate
- First Aid at Work
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and health & safety legislation
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Ability to manage programmes and deliver projects to tight deadlines
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- IT literate with experience using construction management systems
