Overview: Build Recruitment is seeking experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineers to join a leading Facilities Management (FM) contractor working within a prestigious 15‑storey corporate office building in Central Manchester. We're looking for engineers with a solid background in commercial building maintenance, facilities management, electrical maintenance, and BMS (Building Management Systems). The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring the building remains safe, compliant, and fully operational. The role will also involve supporting other engineering disciplines and assisting with general maintenance tasks where required, making this an excellent opportunity for a well‑rounded maintenance engineer looking to work within a high‑profile commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
- Ensure the building remains safe, compliant, and fully operational
- Support other engineering disciplines and assist with general maintenance tasks where required
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
- City & Guilds 18th Edition
- Previous transferrable experience
- Knowledge of electrical installation works within commercial properties
- Ability to fault‑find electrical equipment faults within commercial properties
- Basic fault diagnosis and rectification on commercial fire alarm systems
- Experience with emergency light annual testing
- Experience with DALI lighting control systems
- Experience with BMS control wiring and fault finding
