Plant Mechanic – Redruth, CornwallRedruth, Cornwall £18.00–£21.00 per hour Monday to Friday Permanent, Full-Time Position We are currently recruiting for a Plant Mechanic to join a well-established company based in Redruth, Cornwall. This is a permanent, full-time position working from a busy workshop, offering excellent rates of pay and the opportunity to join a stable and growing business. The Role: Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of plant machinery and equipment Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs Working on heavy plant and associated equipment Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance Ensuring machinery is maintained to a high standard and kept safe and operational Using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve faults Completing maintenance and repair paperwork where required Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed Requirements: Previous experience as a Plant Mechanic, Plant Fitter, HGV Mechanic, Agricultural Mechanic or similar Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills Experience working on heavy plant equipment is essential Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently Good understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team What's on Offer: Permanent, full-time employment £18.00–£21.00 per hour, depending on experience Monday to Friday – no regular weekends Stable workshop-based position Opportunity to join a well-established and growing business This role would ideally suit candidates based in or around Redruth, Camborne, Truro, Hayle, Falmouth, St Austell or surrounding areas of Cornwall.
