Build Recruitment are working with a leading Housing Association to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer. Covering Cambridgeshire and the East of England (main towns: Cambridge, Peterborough, Stevenage, Hitchin, Luton, Bedford, Haverhill), this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward‑thinking organisation offering excellent benefits, progression, and support.
About the Role
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out responsive and planned repairs to both occupied and void properties. Your work will cover a variety of trades, including:
- Minor plumbing
- Joinery
- Tiling & flooring
- Kitchen and bathroom fitting
You’ll work to deliver high-quality service within a social housing setting, completing assigned tasks using a handheld device (full training provided). All works should be completed efficiently, safely, and in line with best practice to ensure excellent customer experience.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 2 Building Maintenance Operative (or equivalent)
- CSCS Blue Skilled Workers Card
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Experience working in both occupied and void properties
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for completing repairs on time, first time
- Experience within social housing maintenance (desirable)
You must also:
- Have your own tools
- Hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 12 months)
