Our client is a well-established construction and groundworks contractor based in Truro, delivering a wide range of civil engineering and groundworks projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who wants to be part of a supportive, team-focused environment where training, development, and career progression are actively encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing accurate cost estimates for groundworks and construction projects.
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Producing take-offs and pricing materials, labour, and plant.
- Working closely with senior estimators and the wider commercial team.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and enquiries.
- Assisting with bid submissions and tender returns.
- Previous experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator within construction or groundworks.
- Good understanding of groundworks, civils, or infrastructure packages (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Keen to learn, develop, and progress within a growing business.
- Proficient with Excel and estimating software.
